About these terms
These terms (the "Terms") describe the rules for using FoodoZone — our website, mobile applications, and the services we provide through them. By creating an account or placing an order, you agree to these Terms.
We've tried to write them in plain English. If anything is unclear, get in touch at support@foodozone.com and we'll explain it without the legalese.
Some sections only apply if you're a restaurant partner or rider. Those sections say so explicitly.
Your account
You must be at least 18 years old to use FoodoZone. By creating an account you confirm that you are.
You're responsible for keeping your password safe and for everything that happens under your account. If you suspect someone else has access, change your password and tell us immediately.
The information you give us (name, email, phone, address) must be accurate. If it changes, update it in your profile so we can deliver your orders.
Using FoodoZone
FoodoZone connects you with independent restaurants and the riders who deliver their food. We don't make or sell the food ourselves.
You agree to use the service for personal, non-commercial purposes only. You won't use the service to commit fraud, harass anyone, scrape our data, reverse-engineer the app, or interfere with our systems.
If we have reasonable grounds to believe you've broken these rules — or are using the service abusively — we may suspend or close your account.
Orders, fees, and payment
When you place an order, it forms a contract between you and the restaurant — not between you and FoodoZone. We facilitate the order and collect payment on the restaurant's behalf.
Every order is charged to your saved card immediately on placement, via our payment processor Stripe. Your total includes the food subtotal, any applicable delivery fee set by the restaurant (waived above their free-delivery threshold), and our platform fee — 5% of the food subtotal, always between £0.75 and £0.99.
Prices and menu availability are set by each restaurant and may change without notice. If a dish becomes unavailable after you order, we'll refund the affected line.
Delivery and pickup
Delivery times shown in the app are estimates based on the restaurant's kitchen, rider availability, and traffic. They are not guaranteed.
For pickup orders, you're responsible for collecting the order from the restaurant in a reasonable time after it's marked 'Ready for pickup'. If you don't collect within a reasonable window, the restaurant may dispose of the food and the order is non-refundable.
For delivery orders, you must provide accurate address details and be available to receive the order. If the rider can't reach you and your order goes undelivered, we may not be able to refund it.
Cancellations and refunds
You cannot cancel an order yourself once it's been placed — the restaurant may have already started cooking. If you need to cancel urgently, contact us via the contact form and we'll see what we can do.
A restaurant may cancel your order (for example, if they're out of stock or unexpectedly closed). When this happens, our admin team processes a full refund to your original payment method, usually within 24 hours.
If your order arrives wrong, damaged, missing items, or significantly late, contact us within 48 hours. Where it's our or the restaurant's fault, we'll issue a partial or full refund at our discretion.
We don't refund based on personal taste preference.
Promo codes and discounts
Promo codes are subject to the conditions shown when they're issued — including minimum order value, expiry date, per-customer usage limits, and total usage caps.
Only one promo code per order. Free-delivery thresholds set by a restaurant still apply on top.
We may withdraw, void, or adjust any promo code at any time, including in cases of misuse, fraud, or technical error.
Reviews and user content
When you submit a review, rating, photo, or other content to FoodoZone, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use, display, and distribute that content in connection with the service.
Your content must be honest, lawful, and relate to your real experience. It must not contain hate speech, threats, personal data of others, advertising, or anything illegal.
We may remove content that breaks these rules without notice.
Restaurant partners
This section applies only if you operate a restaurant on FoodoZone.
You're responsible for the quality, safety, and accuracy of your menu and the food you prepare. You confirm you hold all required licences, food-hygiene certifications, and insurance.
We send weekly payouts every Wednesday at 06:00 UTC for orders delivered more than 24 hours earlier. Refunds processed after a payout are netted against your next payout. Detailed terms are in your partnership agreement.
Intellectual property
The FoodoZone name, logo, app, website, and underlying software are owned by FoodoZone Inc. and protected by intellectual property laws.
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the service for its intended purpose. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works of the service.
Restaurant menus, photos, and brand names are the property of the respective restaurants.
Privacy
Our handling of your personal data is described in the Privacy Policy. By using FoodoZone you confirm you've read it.
In short: we collect only what we need to operate the service (account, address, payment, order history) and we don't sell your data. Payment details are tokenised by Stripe and never stored on our servers.
Disclaimers and limitations of liability
FoodoZone is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We don't warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or perfectly accurate, although we work hard to keep it close.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, FoodoZone Inc., its directors, employees, and partners are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.
Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or anything else that can't be limited by law in the United Kingdom.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold FoodoZone Inc. and its team harmless from any claims, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the service, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.
Account termination
You may close your account at any time by contacting us. We keep order history for legal and tax reasons (typically up to 6 years under UK law), but personal data is removed.
We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms, abuse the service, or where required by law. Where reasonable, we'll give you notice and a chance to put things right first.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms occasionally — for example to reflect new features, regulatory changes, or feedback from our community.
When we make material changes, we'll notify you by email or via an in-app banner at least 14 days before the new Terms take effect. Your continued use of FoodoZone after that date means you accept the updated Terms.
Governing law and disputes
These Terms and your use of FoodoZone are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
If a dispute arises, please contact us first — most issues can be resolved without lawyers. If we can't reach a resolution, the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
Nothing in this section prevents you from raising consumer-rights issues with the relevant authorities in your country of residence.
